JAN
(Blog Owner and DT Co-ordinator)

My name is Jan (and some of you might know me as Jaybe).  I reached the magical age of ‘50’ in 2013 and declared that I would try something new – so here I am with my very own challenge blog for you to enjoy.

I live in South Yorkshire and am married with two grown-up daughters and my two gorgeous fur babies, who are never very far away from my feet.

I have been paper crafting for over ten years now, after receiving a handmade card from a friend. I went out and bought a card making kit for myself and the rest is history – you know the story! After very quickly filling the dining room table and all the space around it, I now have my very own craft space in my conservatory.

Crafting has now become an addiction and I would love to craft full-time (maybe one day!)  My first love is making cards and would describe my style as mainly cute, with lots of embellishments, but I have dabbled in all kinds of crafts, including art journaling, scrapbooking, altered art, ATCs, zentangle and am willing to give ‘anything a go’. I also sell some of my cards and gifts.

My favourite technique has to be stamping, hence the nature of my new challenge blog and my favourite craft tool has to be my Grand Calibur which my hubby bought me for Christmas a few years ago (and I think I use it every time I craft!)

When I’m not crafting you can usually find me with my nose in a book - my second passion! Anyone who knows me will tell you that I can’t walk past a book shop without buying some new books.  I love fantasy fiction and am addicted to all things vampire related.

CAZ

Hello, I am Carole, aka Caz and Cazro in blogland.

I live in the North East of England, between Durham and Newcastle. I am married to a very understanding and encouraging guy and we have two sons, who have given us a total of 5 grandsons and 1 grand daughter. I am a happily retired Nurse Manager.

Over the years I have delved into many crafts, but in 2003 I stumbled upon paper crafting, when watching it on TV. My interest began with scrapbooking and mini-books, which I still enjoy and with 6 grandchildren I have lots to record!  I later added ATCs, Tags, card making and box making to my list of paper crafts.

I love to learn and teach others of new techniques and I run a small stamping class at home. I am so lucky to have my own craft room; the Playroom.  My obsession is stamping and playing with inks and generally getting in a mess. I love to experiment and like most addicted crafters I try to craft every day.

JULIE
Hi, my name is Julie and I am a retired primary teacher from Yorkshire. I am married to Al and have 2 grown up children and a lovely 3 year old grandson.

I love to craft and make things and now having had to give up my job as a primary school teacher who specialized in art and craft and the kids are grown, I can indulge my passion. Card making takes up most of my time but I have been known to quilt, dress make, crochet, do cross-stitch, paint with water colours, use soft pastels and make the odd scrapbook.

Blogging is relatively new to me, only starting this summer, but I decided it was time to share my creations and keep a record of what I've made; being a bit competitive and since I can longer play tennis or badminton, entering challenges has become a good substitute. Some of you may have seen my GDT spot over on Marianne Design Divas but other than that I'm a keen novice.

HELEN

I've been a card maker for many years and particularly enjoy stamping. I'm lucky enough to be part of the design team for Little Claire, Pink Gem, Inky Impressions, Imagine That Digis by Kris, Buckwell Craft Supplies and Card Creations Plus as well as several challenge blogs. For the past two years I've worked for Abbeyfield, which is a charity providing care for the elderly. I'm an Activities Co-ordinator covering a care home and two sheltered houses.

JACKIE

I live in south Hampshire just outside Southampton and am married to Keith who is a very patient man – he needs to be. We have one grown up daughter who lives in Winchester and I work part- time in a school supporting visually impaired pupils.

I have crafted one way or another for a long time. I can remember as a child making paper lanterns to decorate my room at Christmas. Along the way I have tried many crafts like knitting, rug making, patch work, macramé, crotchet and dress making. About eight years ago I started to notice that some people were making handmade cards, especially at Christmas, and I decided to give this a go myself. Since then I haven’t looked back and the house is now full of my crafty stash. I am permanently on a mission to try and organise all my bits and pieces. My crafting is done on the dining room table and my very understanding husband, who often has to eat somewhere else so I can complete a project, doesn't complain.  I would like to say that doesn't happen often, but it does.

Stamping and die-cutting are a passion and I have many stamps and dies.  Just recently I have applied my card making skills to scrap booking some of our memorable moments it is a wonderful way to treasure a memory. I have also had a go at a few home décor pieces so you may see these some of these in the future. It is amazing how many uses you can find for stamps.

I started blogging a year ago and I am so pleased that I did it has meant that I can easily join in with challenges that are set (and there are lots of them). I find that challenges help me to develop my skills and help me to think about things in a different way. I am so pleased to be joining the Design Team here - I think it will be lots of fun.

MARIA

My name is Maria and I live in Wirral with my two teenagers, and various other animals. I discovered rubber stamping about ten years ago starting as an occasional hobby, but my passion has grown over the years and I now teach and demonstrate stamping, cardmaking and mixed media full time.  I'm delighted to be joining the team at Fantasy Stampers and look forward to sharing my inky stampy creations with you.

LESLEY

Hello, my name is Lesley aka Stamping Bubbles in the blogging world. I am a forty something mother of four living in Cheshire and work in a local primary school as a higher level teaching assistant. I have been crafting all my life, starting knitting and sewing doll's clothes when I was a child. I began making cards in 1997 using machine embroidery, but discovered stamping in 2009. Now I enjoy stamping, colouring with various mediums and die cutting. I started blogging in 2013 so I could enter the many blog challenges and now am a member of the Spectrum Noir TV and the Winter Wonderland design teams. I am incredibly proud to have been asked to join the Fantasy Stampers design team.

Well, thanx for sticking with us till the end -
hope you enjoyed meeting the team
xx
